HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY

Saint Paul's Lutheran Church is an active contributor to the Helping Hands Food Pantry, a group that provides non-perishable food supplies to needy area families each month.  In 2006, the pantry was able to help feed 1,929 children and 1,854 adults.  In addition to these efforts, Thanksgiving and Christmas "baskets" (consisting of a turkey, stuffing, pie or cake, and canned and fresh fruits and vegetables) were donated to 90 families.

The Helping Hands Food Pantry is located in the basement of our neighbor, Salem Methodist Church on Bradshaw Road in Upper Falls.  We need continual donations of food items such as canned meats and fruits, canned soup, dried milk, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, pancake mix, and syrup.  The pantry also needs volunteers to serve one day a month from 9 AM to 12 noon.  If you're willing to volunteer or make a donation, please call 410-592-2226 and leave a message on the answering machine.  Someone will call you back.  You can also send us a note at P.O.
