The title of this year's mid-week Lenten Vespers series is God's Gift of Forgiveness.  As the title suggests, this series will explore God's gracious gift of forgiveness to sinners, especially as we find this forgiveness in the Seven Penitential Psalms (6, 32, 38, 51, 102, 130, and 143) and in the church's practice of Confession and Absolution.  The sermons in this series expound on the nature of sin as seen in the Penitential Psalms, the devastating effects sin has on the soul and the conscience, and what we receive through our heavenly Father's gift of the forgiveness of sin in His Son, Jesus Christ.

As is our tradition, various church and school organizations and committees will serve fellowship dinners before each evening service (except Ash Wednesday).  The dinners will start at about 6 PM in the Parish Hall across from the main church building.  All are invited to share in these meals before worship.
