This page contains our 2008 mid-week worship schedule for Lent.

Wednesday Lenten Vespers starts on February 6.  Our theme for this year's Vespers services is Lamb of God, Pure and Holy.  This wonderful series is based on several key passages from both the Old and New Testament that teach the church about Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Something new to our mid-week Lenten worship this season is a Bible study entitled "The Lutheran Theology of Worship" that will be taught by Pastor Wollman immediately following each Wednesday evening service starting on February 13.  Everyone is invited to take part in what should prove to be a fascinating and enlightening study.  Please meet downstairs in the middle school area.  See the pastors or one of the elders if you need more information.

As is our tradition, a fellowship dinner will be served before each evening service (except Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday).  The dinners will start at about 5:30 PM in the Parish Hall across from the main church building.  All are invited to these meals to share in fellowship and great food.

NOTE:  At 9 AM on February 6, Saint Paul's School will include in its regular Wednesday morning chapel service the traditional Lenten rite of the Imposition of Ashes.  All are invited to the sanctuary to worship with the students, faculty, and parents.  The reception of ashes is optional.
