A WORD OF WELCOME

Welcome to the web site of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Kingsville, Maryland, a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.  We at Saint Paul's are spiritual descendants of Martin Luther and his fellow reformers of the 16th century.  As such, we joyfully believe, teach, and confess the doctrine of the one true Christian faith as it is revealed in the Holy Bible and confessed in the Book of Concord of 1580.  By the gift of the Holy Spirit we proclaim Jesus Christ -- true God and true man, who was crucified, rose from the dead, and lives and reigns now and forever -- as the only way to peace with God, salvation, and eternal life in heaven.

This web site will tell you about our beliefs, our church, and our school.  We've also included a page to help you in your daily devotions and a list of several excellent Christian links.  If you live in the Baltimore-Harford counties region or plan to visit or move to this part of Maryland, we invite you to visit our parish.  Our worship services follow the historic liturgy and liturgical calendar of the church because they faithfully convey to us the Lord's precious grace in Word and Sacrament.  We also practice closed communion as is clearly taught in the Holy Scriptures.  Click on the following links to see our worship schedule, meet our pastor, listen to some of his sermons, learn about what kind of church we are, read the latest edition of our church newsletter, find out about the history of our parish, and get driving directions to Saint Paul's.

If you have a prayer need, you can send it to our pastors from our prayer requests page.  Please e-mail us, sign our guest book, or call us at 410-592-8100 if you'd like more information about Saint Paul's.  May our gracious God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- bless and keep you always!

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INFORMATION

LENT AT SAINT PAUL'S

It's the season of Lent once again.  As is our tradition we're conducting Wednesday evening worship services at 7 PM throughout this penitential season.  This year's Lenten series is entitled Words of Life from the CrossThe theme of this series is the seven words Christ spoke from the cross as He offered up His life for the life of the world.  The sermons in this series will expound on these words of Christ, linking them to Jesus' words and works recorded in the gospels as well as the Old Testament prophesies that pointed to Him.  Each word of Christ proclaims and delivers something about Him, the Word Incarnate, and delivers His saving death to us that we would trust Him for forgiveness, life, and salvation.  Various church and school organizations and committees will serve fellowship dinners before each evening service.  The dinners will start at about 5:45 PM in the Parish Hall across from the main church building.  All are invited to share in these meals before worship.  Please join us at Saint Paul's for worship during this penitential season as we give thanks to God for the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES

We're pleased to be able to offer several adult Bible studies for your edification.  Cindy Wollman and Ellen Marquardt are continuing the monthly Bible study for women they started in October.  This study is entitled Under His Wings: Emptiness/Abundance and it meets on the first Sunday of each month at 6:30 PM.  All ladies of the congregation are invited to meet in Middle School room B.  Now for the Sunday morning studies that meet in between worship services.  Pastor Wollman is starting a brand new Bible study on the book of Galatians.  Anyone interested in joining this group is invited to meet downstairs in Middle School room A.  Mark Myers is leading a 16-part study on the book of Jonah.  If you'd like to be part of this study, come to the 3rd Grade classroom.  Please avail yourselves of these excellent opportunities to study and grow in your knowledge of God's Word.
